HOLIDAY 2009

The monumental blizzard of 2009 may have postponed some of the Club holiday parties but it did not put a damper on the spirit of the season.

Bywater Christmas Breakfast
The Club at Bywater celebrated the holidays on December 23rd with a delicious pancake breakfast and a whole lot of fun. Gifts were distributed to 68 Club members by Santa Clause himself. Gifts were donated by the members of Saint Mary's Parrish Church, residents of Hunt Meadow and Sherwood Forest, and Caldwell Banker of Severna Park. A special thanks also goes out to Mrs. Angela Nassar who went far and beyond to make this holiday party a success.

Freetown Village Celebrates with a Winter Wonderland
Freetown Village transformed their gym into a real winter wonderland for their holiday brunch. After filling their bellies with pancakes the Club members had their photo taken with Santa before picking out a special gift. Freetown Village Club received several donations from Toys for Tots. In addition Senator Simonaire & Heroes for Humanity donated toys, as did Dollar Tree and Caldwell Banker in Severna Park. Sister to Sister provided the goodie bags, and McDonalds provided free ice cream certificates. Special thanks to Annie Frogg and Sharon Lewis who provide food for the brunch. And, of course, a huge thank you to Santa for fulfilling our children's holiday wishes.

Admiral Oaks Lunch with Santa

The Young Advocates hosted a party for the Admiral Oaks members on December 22nd. All 52 kids in attendance enjoyed McDonald’s Happy Meals and pizza, and cheered at Santa’s arrival on a Fire Truck.  Each member excitedly waited their turn to talk to Santa, and everyone received a special gift from him from their wish list.

Special Thanks To: The Young Advocates for hosting the party and PharmAthene for sponsoring all of the holiday gifts.

Bates Holiday Breakfast

On the Eve of Christmas Eve, 50 members slid over to Bates for their first ever “Bates Holiday Breakfast”.  Amid Christmas Carols, and face painting gifts were distributed to the younger members, and gift cards were given to the teenagers.

Special Thanks To: Mr. Matthews for funding the event.

Meade Village Christmas Dinner Festival
