Third Annual Be A Kid For A Night
![]() On Friday the 13th the Boys & Girls Club at Bates was filled to the rafters with live music, entertainment, colorful cocktails and a smorgasbord of food from local restaurants. The Third Annual Be A Kid For A Night was a success thanks to the generous support from local companies, individuals, families, restaurants, caterers, board members, committee members, staff of the Boys & Girls Club and most importantly our guests.
Several hundred guests got to indulge their inner child enjoying live music, jello shots delivered by a roller-skating waitress, unbelievable magic tricks, trend-setting bracelettes and hats made from balloons, tarot card readers, a golf simulator, all-too-accurate handwriting analysis, casino tables, and karaoke like you've never experienced it before. If that wasn't enough we had thirteen raffles to choose from, and one premiere raffle worth saving your pennies for.
Add in a Hoola-Hoop contest, a group effort in Body Bingo, and Line-Dancing instructions and you have THE PARTY OF THE YEAR! ![]() Music? Dancing? Food? Fun? Entertainment? Yes, it was all there. We even had A Classic Case playing Rock-n-Roll on the second floor, while the John Pyle Group kept everyone entertained on the first floor.
Every room of the club was filled with surprises, prizes, entertainment, new friends, and an opportunity raise funds which help support the kids who need us most in Annapolis & Anne Arundel County.
But the giving didn't stop there! On Saturday, a few of our committee members delivered leftovers to a very appreciative Sarah's House and The Lighthouse Shelter.
