Busch at Bywater
The members of Boys & Girls Club at Bywater's Passport to Manhood received an interesting stamp in their Passport book when the Speaker of Maryland's House of Delegates, Mike Busch, attended their weekly meeting. The Club's Assistant Director, Rondell Williams, was bemused to see the session turn into a history lesson as Speaker Busch was encouraged by the members, ages 11-14, to discuss the history of Annapolis.
Some members were surprised to hear Annapolis was once the nation's Capital and very interested in Speaker Busch's personal experience and involvement with the Maryland's Legislative.
Our continued gratitude to Speaker Busch for taking the time to get to know our Club members and for the extra history lesson!
Passport to Manhood Passport to Manhood promotes and teaches responsibility while reinforcing positive behavior in male Club members ages 11 to14. Passport to Manhood consists of 14 small-group sessions, each of which concentrates on a specific aspect of manhood through highly interactive activities. Each participant is issued his own "Passport" to underscore the idea that he is on a journey of maturation and personal growth.
